Occitanie offers two distinct landscapes depending on your trip. Around the Hérault Gorges and the Camargue, expect garrigue hills, river canyons, limestone plateaus, wetlands, and wide open marshlands home to horses, flamingos, and salt flats. Trails are generally moderate, with routes adapted to your comfort level.
Further west toward the Pyrenees, the terrain shifts to rolling foothills, forested valleys, crystal-clear lakes, and panoramic ridgelines. Activities range from gentle valley paths to more elevated mountain routes, with daily options to suit how active you want to be.

We design every itinerary to minimise time in the vehicle, keeping most activity areas 10–30 minutes apart. To reach certain standout highlights — a dramatic cape, a panoramic ridge, or a quiet inland valley — you can expect one or two transfers of up to an hour, typically placed at the start or end of the day for a smooth flow.
During peak summer, some coastal roads become busier. When needed, we adjust routing to avoid peak-hour traffic and may use boats, quieter inland access roads, or early/late departures to keep the experience seamless.

The French Riviera uses the Euro (€). Card payments are accepted almost everywhere — cafés, restaurants, shops, beach clubs, taxis, and small villages. ATMs are widely available. Cash is only occasionally useful for local markets or small artisan producers.
