The Mexican Peso (MXN). Cards are widely accepted in cities and coastal areas; smaller rural communities may be cash-preferred. ATMs are accessible in all main start and end points. Your Trip Doc includes guidance on typical cash needs.

Baja California Sur:
Winter (Dec–Feb) is mild, cooler and windier—ideal for hiking, quieter for marine life. From March to June, the sea warms, winds drop and wildlife activity peaks; this is the region’s prime coastal season. Late June onward becomes very hot. Pack layers, strong sun protection and water-friendly footwear.

Oaxaca Highlands & Pacific:
Highlands are crisp in the morning and warm by midday; coastal zones become hot. Layers are essential. Dry season runs November–May; summer is greener with occasional afternoon showers.

Yucatán Peninsula:
Warm and tropical year-round. Light clothing, swim gear, and strong sun protection are key. Expect humidity and occasional refreshing showers.

English is common in major hubs and coastal towns.

In highland or rural communities, it is less widespread, but communication remains seamless through our partners and guides.
